The heartwood is yellowish brown and darkens with age. Afrormosia is sometimes referred to as “African Teak,” though it is not closely related to genuine Teak. Afrormosia has a fine texture and the grain is generally straight and can be interlocked. This is a custom wood that MAR-K keeps in stock and the turnaround time is about a week.
